typing means less
it takes less effort to type a message than to write it longhand.
Also computers have infintite cut-and-paste.
Therfore words mean less on the internet. Talk is cheaper than ever before in the history of mankind.

What do they mean by that and

sent off my demo reel
to pixar.
I have my fingers crossed but i'm not holding my breath.if you see where i'm coming from.
i think i may have to try a few times to get in there. i don't think my reel was very good. I mean everybody knows that nothing, no work of art turns out as good as you aimagine it. I don't mean that. Thst's normal. I mean it wasn't as good as i am able to make it. I forgot crucial steps that would have made it look better. Present better. I just really hope my ideas are interesting enough to get noticed at pixar.

i need a montage
i need a training montage, like in a movie.
i'd like to work at PIXAR, but i realize i've got a lot of work to do to get there.
which is why i need an animation-making montage. with inspirational music. That hopefully ends with me shaking hands with John Lasseter, winking and giving a thumbs-up to the camera.

the clone wars series movie
disappointing. even for star wars. See, the thing is, i'd had may hopes raised back up again a bit because of the clone wars series. The 2d animated one by Gennady Tartakovsky. that was great. Really tight storytelling, very little dialogue but dramatic, interesting situations. i loved it. But the new one, the movie- it's like they sucked the life out of those designs, made them rigid and lifeless. I don't know why it was done in CG to begin with. Why not 2d cel animation, like the rest of the series? The look is inconsistent. Not only that, but it's clearly not as good. The animation is just not as good as the series.
The thing i noticed especially was the mouth positions. This is probably something only an animation geek would notice, but they just lacked interest, they were uninteresting poses, they just moved from one pose to the next without any emphasis. i think this is because they used a (Singaporean i think?) studio to outsource the work.
man, don't get me started on that. There's ton of people here in the Bay Area looking for animation work. I know, i graduated with a class full of them.
To me this just shows to go you can't outsource creative work. Or- you can, you just get poor quality. But most people don't notice. i believe, though, that people will notice, on a subtle level everything just seems more dynamic and interesting with good animation.
